Scientists say they have identified remains found in 2005 as those of Nicolas Copernicus who is considered to be the father of modern astronomy.
Polish and Swedish scientists used DNA testing to compare hair of the 15th century astronomer with a skull found in a cathedral in Frombork, northern Poland. Copernicus developed the then shocking revolutionary theory that the Earth is in orbit around the sun rather than the other way around. Until now his final resting place had been a mystery.
